John, Irvines can be found all over Ulster but especially in Cos Fermanagh and Tyrone. I have a John Irvine who left Ireland with his wife in 1834. John was b21 Feb 1809, son of John Irvine and Nancy Boyd of the townland of Islands of Carnmoon, parish of Billy, near Bushmills in north Co Antrim. He married Mary Boyd, a neighbour, in August 1833 and they passed through Sandusky, Ohio, on their way to Colorado and California. The Irvines in the Islands of Carnmoon later changed their name to Irwin. Regards Nevin
