Hi all, My ancestors William McCLURE and Sarah WHITESIDE(S) apparently married in Belfast area about 1845, they had four children in Ireland before coming to Tasmania in 1859; Jane c 1846 William Adair c 1850 Mary c 1856 Edmund c 1857 (at Lisburn according to a birth certificate for one of his children) There may have been more children. In Tasmania William and Sarah had two more children; John Cubitt 4 Dec 1862 (probably named after John CUBITT who sponsored the family to Tasmania) Isaac James 6 Jan 1865 According to the marriage certificate for William McCLURE's third marriage in Victoria in 1891 to Mary Ann ROSE, his parents were Jabob and Sarah McCLURE (nee DARBY). There were a number of marriages between members of the McCLURE, ROWE (ROE) and HAYES families around Deloraine in Tasmania, perhaps there were connectons in Ireland to the ROWE/ROE and/or CUBITT families ??
