In the 1824 Tithe Applottment books for Norther Ireland/Ulster there is a Hugh Armstrong in the townland of Elginogh (Elginny) Parish of Skerry as well as a Hugh Armstrong in the townland of Polee (Pollee) Parish of Skerry It is thought by some that this is the same man.. At the same time (1824), there was a John Armstrong head of a household thought to be in close proximity to the household headed by Hugh Armstrong.. some are of the opinion these two men were brothers.. Is there some kind soul out there who has any info what so ever on either of these fine men??? Regardsless of how insignificant you may thing it is, I'd like to hear of it....... Please..!
