Pam: My connection with the Wallace's is this: John Wallace Sr. born Scotland 1715 came over to Franklin Co., Pa. some years later after his first wife died and left him with four children. He married Rachael Crooks Parks who would be my 5th removed aunt, her first husband was John Parks who apparently died very early. Rachael & John had three children including John Jr. who laid out the town of Waynesboro, Pa. John Sr. was a Colonel in the American Revolution. They, their children and grandchildren (8 tombstones) are buried in Burns Hill Cemetery (Robbie Burns cousins who came to America and settled in that area). So I am sorry to same my Wallace's are strickly Scots, not Ulsterscots, so I am 4 8ths Ulsterscot. 1 eighth English, 1 eighth Scotch, 1 eighth Italian, and 1 eighth German and thus a DNA mongrel!!!! That's fine as my WALLACEs appear to have stayed in Ireland probably came from Scotland at some time but lost in the mists of time along with the records. I was not sure where yours came from as it was only a list of names like everyone else's emails recently. The subject 'Roll call' that everyone is using is not much help and neither is just the surname without places etc. It will not help future ancestor seekers either when they come to use the lists as 'Roll Call' will not give any indication as to what the text is referring to hence I added WALLACE to the subject when I replied to the list.
