    2. Kearney seems to be the 'standardised' form now, Sharon; the Scottish/EnglishK has supplanted the Irish C. Currie/Curry - ie seems to represent the Scottish spelling style, y the English. Some McIlvarnogs in Co Antrim changed their name to Graham, some to Warnock. The McCavishs are now Thompson, Cairdys - Sinclair, Elshinors - Alexander, Hoggart - Howard and McQuilkin - Wilkinson.
