Charlie Hi Charlie I really don't know. My grandmother and her siblings and mother left Ireland about 1914. Her father left the year before. They came to the US via Canada and first lived in Montana, later moving to Oregon. Since none of my great grandfathers relatives came with them, I am not sure where they may have gone, or maybe they stayed in Ireland. My great grandfather was Robert Forsythe born 1867 His dad was James Forsythe 1831-1901 James Forsythe 1779-1839 James Forsythe 1752-1832 William Forsythe of Ballinderry 1728-1779 Robert Forsythe also married a Forsythe, Ann Jane Forsythe her parents were William Forsythe 1801-1881 and Mary Compton or Christie died 1875. Does any of this match up with your Forsythes? Thank you Gayle

    3. I had some information which indicated that our Anderson family members came from Castledawson and attended the Presbyterian Church there. Someone kindly provided me with a hand written transcript of all of the Andersons at that Church going back as far as their records went - nothing. One issue is that our Andersons may have left before the records there started. The second issue is that they may not have been from Co. Derry but Antrim Co.. So, if anyone has any of the following in their lines, please contact me... Benjamin Anderson, b. September 9, 1785 in Ireland, d. October 4, 1851 in N. Plantagenet Twp., Prescott Co., Canada West, PROVINCE OF CANADA.. m. 1820 Mary Wylie, b. 1798 in Co. Derry Children: Agnes, b. 1811 in Co. Derry, m. John Gordon, b. 1809 in Co. Derry James, b. 1823 in Co. Derry, m. Maria Johnston, b. ca. 1831 in Ireland Sarah, b. 1824 in Co. Derry, m. Joseph Derby, b. 1818 in Co. Derry Robert, b. 1827 in Co. Derry, m. Mary Jane Grant,, b. ca. 1837 in U.S.A. Elizabeth, b. 1833 in Upper Canada, m. Andrew Derby, b. 1831 Benjamin, b. 1836 in Upper Canada, m. Ester Mullen Alexander Wiley, b. November 5, 1838, m. Martha Jane Anderson, b. October 1, 1842 >From the above it becomes apparent that the Anderson family came to Upper Canada somewhere between 1827 and 1833. I do not know who the first wife of Benjamin Anderson was. As a teaser I have a photograph of some possible Anderson children in Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA in 1918: http://www.pbase.com/cjmax/image/49805757 Good hunting, Cliff.
