    3. John, This certainly doesn't directly answer your question, but perhaps might be a clue. Since all Armstrong lines, particularly those known two hundred years ago, seemed to "recycle" given names, you might at least find possible descendants/researchers by looking for Armstrong lines with both JOHN and HUGH in several generations. Then, of course, hopefully, another John/Hugh researcher would have info from Ireland.
