Hi all, I didn't really expect to generate so many replies! To those who are curious about where the marriage record was found: I found it at the Ulster Historical Foundation website: http://www.ancestryireland.com/index.php They've recently made some birth and marriage indexes for Antrim and Down available and I got lucky. The indexes are free to search (they don't tell you much and the search criteria are very limited) but you can view up to 5 full entries within your search results for 6 British pounds. I searched under Martha Robinson (because there are not as many spelling variations for Robinson as McKendry/McHenry) and it was the third entry I looked at. I also looked for the birth of my John McKendry around 1833 but the only records were Catholic so I guess Presbyterian pre-1864 births are not included in the available records yet. The site tells you what records are there, anyway. If anyone is looking for a Catholic John McHenry/McKendry born between 1828 and 1838 just let me know - I have about seven, none of them mine... Thanks, everyone, for your interest - good luck! Loretta
