Hello, I have rejoined the list with new information to hand on my family My great grandparents Hugh Campbell born 1860c possibly Culdoo & Mary Jane Alexander born 1855c. Hugh & Mary Jane married in 1877 Ballymoney. Hugh was the s/o Belfour Campbell, shoemaker Culdoo. Mary Jane was the d/o John Alexander labourer, Dumadrian? Belfour Campbell born 1820c Ireland married a Sarah Anne Unknown born 1823c Ireland. The family was in Port Glasgow on the 1841 & 1851 census. They would have moved back to Ireland prior to 1860 when Hugh was born. Other children to Belfour & Sarah Anne are Elizabeth born 1840c Ireland, James born 1843c Ireland, Mary Jane born 1849 Port Glasgow. Hugh Campbell & Mary Jane Alexander also moved to Port Glasgow prior to 1901 census. I haven't been able to find their deaths in Scotland, so possibly they moved back to Ireland. In www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk I found 1 entry for a death for hugh campbell and 3 for mary ann campbell in Port Glasgow. It is a pay to use site, but not too expensive and you get to see and make copies of the actual death registrations. I hope this helps you .
