    1. Re: [Antrim] Ann Johnston
    2. Hi, I am interested in the pronounciation of your email name, OLeoghain. There can be confusion as how to pronounce Irish spellings. My maiden name is LOAN. I have a John LONE, b. circa 1811, who came to the USA from Ireland and became a Naturalized Citizen. I received a copy of the page from the Probate Court in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA, and John signed "his mark" with an X. Someone wrote JOHN LONE so the spelling was most likely off. I only know of one of John's children, my great grandfather, Charles Cornelius LOAN. Charles is said to have been one of approx. 14 children. My grandmother, before she died, told my sister that the family name had been spelled O'LOANE. I have not found evidence of this yet. The family lived in the Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio area. While searching online I found a website that has the spellings O'LUAIN and O'LUANE with the English Loan or Lone. My Aunt says that the family was from Derry, Londonderry but they refused to say London. I am still seaching. I would love to hear from anyone that may have a connection or ideas for me. Thank you, Denise =========================================== Subj: Re: [Antrim] Ann Johnston Date: 8/6/06 8:01:59 AM Eastern Daylight Time From:    OLeoghain@aol.com Reply-to: <A HREF="mailto:IRL-ANTRIM-L@rootsweb.com">IRL-ANTRIM-L@rootsweb.com</A> To:    IRL-ANTRIM-L@rootsweb.com I have a James Johnston  from County Antrim born about 1785 who married Martha Logan. They went to Canada about 1816 - don't know who travelled with them. Then they moved down to Burlington, Ohio and last moved to Cabell County, West Virginia. Deb Logan Pittsburgh
