    3. My gg grandfather James Johnston born abt 1798 emigrated from Co. Antrim to Gloucester Township, Carleton County, Ontario in 1827. With him was his widowed mother Ann. She was 84 on the 1851 Census so born about 1767. I wish I knew where but presume Co. Antrim. I also presume Ann's husband was either James or John as my James was really James John and he named his first son John and second son James. What information that I have says that he emigrated with his wife Margaret Jane Groves, born abt 1803, and a daughter Mary Ann, and a cousin John. I suspect that John was his son, and that there was a daughter Margaret (Margrett) as well when they emigrated. James may have also had a sister Catherine. How would I go about finding out more info? I even found some info suggesting that James was a minister but I don't think so, as he farmed in Canada. Can anyone help me? Peggy
