Good evening all, I'm researching my Officer line and my research has led me to Co. Antrim. My ggg-grandfather John Officer was married to Sarah Glandman (also spelled Gladman, Gladmon and even once as Gladmuir). I originally found them in St. Quivox, Wallacetown and Newton on Ayr, Ayrshire. John was listed as "pensioner" and in looking up British military links I did find a John Officer that was discharged at age 33 born Co. Antrim in Killade about 1769 which is the right time frame.
