Hello Bill Unfortunately I have no information about your James McKinnie, however, I am researching James MCKINNEY who was born in late 1840s and lived in Airdrie Scotland around 1870 and subsequently moved to Stoneyburn. He was a miner and if he follows the trend of others may have been born in Ireland.
