Hi Bob I was interested to read your message particularly the information regarding the surname Buick. My GGrandmother was Esther Buick who was the daughter of John Buick but I have no other information regarding her other than that she married an Adam Anderson in 1864 and they lived at Knowehead, Broughshane. They had a family of 6 (4 girls and 2 boys). One of the girls, Mary Anderson was my grandmother and she married William Conway. His sister Annie Wilson Conway married a John Cathcart and it would appear that they 'eloped' to Glasgow to marry as family folklore has it that one or other of the families disapproved of the marriage. At the time Annie gave her normal residence as Castle Street, Ballymena. Does this link in any way to what you have? Ian A C Scott
