    3. Thank you so much! My ggg grandfather Samuel Burnside's brother married an Elizabeth Gray and one of their children was named Matthew Elder Burnside. I'll pursue this at PRONI. I think the John in PA is going to have been there too soon for me but one never knows. I did a Google search on Matthew and found several people researching Elders and saw your posts and name!
