Hello Terence The information regarding King's Moss comes from a genealogist in the Belfast area who is believed to have found a birthplace of "King's Moss" for my great-grandfather, James Irvine, born in 1846. His parents married in Carnmoney Parish (Presbyterian) Church in 1844. James and his sisters (Margaret, Catharine, Gertrude) and brother, Samuel, all emigrated to the Philadelphia area in the mid-to late 1800's. James was a coachman by trade. Are you saying that Stanley Irvine was from King's Moss? At this point, my family and I are hopeful and thankful for any and all clues as to our "homeplace" and kin. Thank you very kindly, SallyAnn McChesney Ohio --- On Tue, 12/2/08, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: From: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [IRL-ANTRIM] King's Moss Co. If you go to google.co.uk, click on maps, type kingsmoss rd (Kingsmoss Road) in the box you will find the area where Kings Moss is located. It is really only a hamlet with a few houses so Kings Moss is perhaps only a townland.
