    3. The civil parish of Grange of Nilteen borders on the southeast corner of the civil parish of Antrim. If you find the towns of Muckamore and Dunadry on your road map, the townland of Rathmore would be between them. Jack

    3. Thank you Jack When I was doing some searching, I found that there seems to be some link to Donegore Parish - with whom I have several Boyds. I do not have the Ordnance map # 14, but I can see these two towns. There were Boyds in Antrim City in the 1666 Hearth Tax list for memory and Colin's links to Templepatrick I think has a number of IGI entries. So while I may not be able to find James Boyd's parents, it may mean that "A" Boyd family was in this area for some 150 years prior. A group of Boyd researchers who have taken DNA test link this family to some form just west of Poyntzpass, Co Armagh, which is about 9kms SW of Banbridge, Co Down. I will see what else I can find on my PC for other Boyd families in this area.
