    1. [IRL-ANTRIM] 1911 Census for Ireland
    2. I have been using the above Census over the past week or so and found it useful as much of my ancestry is located in the counties released up to now. However, I had difficulty in finding information regarding my grandfather's brother James Conway although I had managed to find the rest of his siblings. Fortunately I had managed previously to find the details of some of James and his wife Matilda's children one of whom was born in 1909 at 16 Glenwherry Street, Belfast. Using Glenwherry as the search parameter I was able to find an entry fort the address and was surprised to find a family with matching forenames and ages at the address but with the name CONNELLY. Having found this information I then checked the image for the summary of the enumerators entries and found that the name of the occupier of 16 Glenwherry Street was in fact James Conway. The ability to search for different elements in the Census makes this a useful tool for anyone searching for ancestors who could possibly be alive at the time it was taken and will be of increasing benefit as the other counties are added but be prepared to search using all the alternatives. For anyone who has not used the facility it may be of interest to know that the entries show Forename, Surname, Relationship to Head of Family, Religious Denomination, Ability to Read & Write, Trade or Profession, Age, Marital Status, County of Birth and , for married women, how long married, Number of children born and how many still alive. With that information available I have been able to complete the records for my grandfather's parents (from 1840) and all his siblings and their families up to those born prior to the Census date.
