Good morning listers. I have a JOHN & JAMES GRAHAM from Ahoghill, Co. Antrim on board a ship bound for Australia in 1838. I am assuming the are brothers as they both state that they are from the same place. John born c 1806 [32 years old when the boat arrived in 1838] James born c 1808 [30 years old when the boat arrived in 1838] They both state that their father was CHARLES GRAHAM. Their wives are both named Mary and according to the shipping record - John's wife Mary's father is David Jackson, Tailor. James's wife Mary's father is I. *Marahan, Farmer. [On their son's marriage certificate Mary's surname is spelt *Macaughn and on his death certificate it is spelt *McCorcoran] I would dearly like to follow this family back into Ireland. I would appreciate information as to what records may be available for research. regards Val Queensland, Australia
