    3. Did you get my message with the death certificate references ? Cheers for now from Valerie in sunny Sydney -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Barbara Cocker Sent: Wednesday, 26 November 2008 11:51 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [IRL-ANTRIM] death notices/obituaries Thanks to everyone who helped me find information about Dr James W T Smith. I had very little information on the family but I've learnt a lot about him this week. Some of the information came from the Belfast Central Library - Newspaper Library http://www.ni-libraries.net/libraries/belb/belfast-central-library-newspaper -library/ I rang them and they gave me an email address to write to - [email protected] Maybe that will help someone else with their research. regards Barbara Perth australia ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    1. [IRL-ANTRIM] Charles Brett

    3. Following a family story regarding a relative Sir Charles BRETT I have found a marriage between Margaret NEILL (My father's great aunt) and Charles Henry BRETT. Charles and Margaret had at least 5 chn - 2 daughters - names unknown and 3 sons - Charles Wills 1864 (died age 2) Alfred Edward 1865 and George Henry 1871. Charles Brett was a solicitor in Belfast - L'Estrange & Brett - and later generations have followed in his footsteps. It would be great to make contact with others researching this family. regards Barbara Perth Australia

    3. Two places to start. PRONI - see; http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/search_the_archives/will_calendars.htm they have most of the wills, or extracts, that still exist. UHF - see; http://www.ancestryireland.com/database.php - there site is expensive, even if you are a member. 3. Thanks Chris I didn't find a will on either site but I did find a baptism on the ancestryireland - very pleasant surprise as I didn't expect to find this particular person's baptism. Surname Smith but luckily he had 2 middle initials which gave him away.
