    3. My gg-grandparents were married in 1856 in this place. From my ggrandfather's death certificate , it looks like Fort/Port Glenone. I am not familiar with the name or area, so would anyone be able to help me determine what the name might be? Thomas McEvoy was my gg - grandfather's name. He was born in Co Wicklow and stationed in Co Antrim with the RIC. His wife - Charlotte Ennis was born in Co Antrim in c1843. Her age at marriage was listed as 15yrs in 1856. Her parents were James Ennis and Mary Ann ??. James Ennis' profession was listed as an 'agent'. Any help much appreciated. Thanks. Jane Cleary Liewah Station Moulamein nsw 2733 AUSTRALIA

    3. You can see the actual location on the map of Portglenone Parish and surrounding areas in my interactive map - see link below. Keep in mind that it could be Portglenone Civil Parish (most likely) or Portglenone Town in Antrim or, as it is from a death certificate (and so in effect hearsay), Glenone townland in Derry directly opposite Portglenone Town which I understand was regarded as part of Portglenone.
