I think I got two?Jane McKentys mixed up and the one married to McERLEAN was Neil's daughter Jane b. 1875 (not the Jane b. 1843 who was Neil's sister). Thanks for clearing that up! Anne McKenty Black (oldest sister of Neil and Jane b. 1843) was the mother of my great-grandfather Henry Black (b. 1858) who emigrated to Canada in about 1880 and married Mary McKenty (a cousin of some degree--but I haven't been able to ascertain exactly how?they were related). I would be very interested in any information you have about the children of Robert McErlean and Jane McKenty. Regards-- Mary Ann -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] Sent: Sun, 30 Mar 2008 8:59 pm Subject: Re: ANTRIM surnames McERLEAN and HUNTER Hi Mary Ann- There are definitely connections between my McErleans and your McKentys, though I do not know if your Jane (born about 1843) is one of them. My great grandmother's brother Robert McErlean (1869-1941) married Jane McKenty (1875-1955) from Mullaghconnelly, Glenarm. Her parents were Neil McKenty and Margaret Mulvenna ? I have more information about their children, if you are interested. Pat ?
