Jane, Yes, I am having lots of problems finding where my Burnside families lived before they immigrated in 1817. I think I have become a real pest to every list. Are you familiar with the North Antrim Local Interest List? Since you know your McCormicks were in Giant's Causeway they might be the group for you. They concentrate on the northern part of Antrim and their members include historians and authors. If you are interested I will ask about your joining the group. I was asked to join and I believe that is the only way they take new listers but I don't know that for a fact. I am still struggling with whether my family came from Antrim or Down or perhaps both but NALIL has given me lots of ideas and clues to weed out who is NOT my family. By-the-way, concerning the tavern issue - my ggg grandfather came to PA in 1817 and by around 1830 owned a inn/tavern in Pittsburgh called the Black Horse Inn. I have business directories and also a damage claim from the horrible Pittsburgh fire. I just have to believe he was involved in the same business in N. Ireland but of course, I might be wrong. Let me know about NALIL. Linda -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: [email protected] > Hi Linda, > > I am on the Antrim list - and you are also interested in Pubs.
