Hi Mary Ann- There are definitely connections between my McErleans and your McKentys, though I do not know if your Jane (born about 1843) is one of them. My great grandmother's brother Robert McErlean (1869-1941) married Jane McKenty (1875-1955) from Mullaghconnelly, Glenarm. Her parents were Neil McKenty and Margaret Mulvenna I have more information about their children, if you are interested. Pat In a message dated 3/30/2008 11:06:11 P.M. I don't know about any descendants Jane may have had, but Anne and Jane had a younger sister named Margaret (so if you think it's possible your Margaret McErlean is related to Jane, she could have been named after Jane's sister Margaret.) The McKentys had a farm in Mullaghconnolly townland (in the Glenarm area near Feystown) at that time. Let me know if you think there could be a connection. Regarding the HUNTER surname, in 1999 I stayed in a very nice bed and breakfast in Ballymena called Shanleigh House. It was run by a Mrs. Hunter whose HUNTER relations were from the Glenarm-Carnlough area. Just thought this might possibly be helpful to someone in finding a connection.
