That's a great story! I have two people who have offered to help me at PRONI and perhaps Linen Hall but I know I will be on my own knocking on doors. My huge problem is my Burnsides left Ulster in 1817. A father, wife, five sons, and their families. I think your map idea sounds good - maybe some of the family stayed behind but so far I do not even know the area. My two friends from the UK and I chose Ballymena because of the location - close to Belfast (for my research) and not far from the north coast. Thank you so much for the ideas.
