    3. Dianna, You probably know that in the 18th Century there was a steady flux of the poor from Ireland into London. An Irish colony of emigrants developed in the London district, St. Giles, near Oxford Street. I think it became quite a slum. By the end of the 18th Century, Irish-born were living in most parts of London. I don't know how to search though; I would like to find out.
