All I know is that Catherine Cameron married to a James Dempsey were the parents of James Dempsey who emigrated to Australia in 1838 with his wife (Jane McLoughlin) and children. I've just had 6 weeks in the UK and while there I visited Northern Ireland in the hope of finding out more - had a little success with the Dempsey's but nothing with the Camerons although I was told that they probably came from the Ballymena area as there were Camerons there. I'm guessing now that these Camerons are your lot. Catherine would have to have been born no earlier than 1760s and no later than 1770s.
