    3. David, I enjoyed perusing your Photo bucket and the other links supplied in today's newsletter. For some reason, I thought that you have Todds. Are they in America or in Ireland? Have you seen the Todd DNA project page? It is quite impressive. MY Todd donor was genetically linked to Mary Todd Lincoln's second great grandfather, but the link had to have occurred in Ireland before my Patrick immigrated in 1798. I am wondering how you obtained the 1790's census images for your Bartleys. I subscribe to the full Ancestry program but nothing that early has ever been included. Happy hunting, Ann Lackey

    3. I was about to change it in my records, but realised that it was not spelt as Armagh, so I have assumed it is an Townland. Her brother was Rev Adam Boyd of Ballymoney. A Presbyterian Minister in Lancaster Co., PA. So it did not make any sense that she would be said to have come from Armagh (But I assume that is where we may find her in time. She did not go to Americ auntil 1735. Some 11 years after her brother. 3. Here's a quote from Brian Mitchell's book "A Guide to Irish Churches and Graveyards." "Prior to the 1820s, owing to the operation of the Penal Laws, both Catholics and Protestants shared the same graveyards. And prior to the Burial Act of 1868, which permitted dissenting ministers to conduct burial services, the Church of Ireland clergy held jurisdiction over funeral services for all Protestants. Right up to the mid-nineteenth century it is not uncommon to find Presbyterian ministers and Methodist preachers buried in a Church of Ireland cemetery." Jack

Also her granddaughter Margaret Logan 22nd March 1828 in her 3rd year." The first Margaret would have been born 1773. The only Thomas in that cemetery was born 1837 -- too late for your Thomas. The Margarets in the Ahoghill cemetery are much later. Will have to wait till I get the film developed for the other cemeteries.

    3. Eireann It appears to me that a section of the Belfast City cemetery is called the Glenalina. http://www.belfastcity.gov.uk/cemeteries/history.asp?id=57 "Expansion In 1910, the cemetery was enlarged due to the purchase of the adjoining Glenalina property. The first burial in this part of the cemetery took place on November 11, 1915. In 1916, an agreement was reached with representatives of the Jewish Community through which a portion of the cemetery was set aside for the interment of persons of the Jewish faith. In 1916, a section of ground was also appropriated for the burial of deceased sailors and soldiers. A further section of the cemetery was used for the burial of members of the United States Army who died in Ireland, following injuries sustained in the wreck of the Otranto in October 1918. The remains of these servicemen were later exhumed and returned to America in 1920. An agreement between the Lord High Admiral and the Commissioners also led to the purchase of graves in Glenalina for the members of the Navel Forces and their relations."
