    3. Gordon Franklin County was not formed until 1784 form Cumberland Co.. Cumberland co was formed in 1750 from Lancaster Co., PA While Lancaster Co was formed from Chester Co in 1729. So if it was the early 1700's you would be looking at either Chester or Lancaster Counties - depending on what years. There seems to have been a County Antrim "migration" in the 1720's period. Not sure if this will help you. 2. Mike Boyd
    3. David Thank you for the website (they usually do not like me) The Robert Boyd of Kenbilly I think this is the same person. S2 Robert Boyd, b /9/1712 ( ), d 8/3/1791 ( , Ireland?), bu Kilcomiola?, Ireland?, m 13/7/1742 (church, town, etc), Grace Hartley, dau of Joseph and Jane (nee Frew) Hartley, b /5/1714 ( ), d 23/5/1785 ( , Ireland?), bu , and had issue:- [Lived: of Kinbally, Broughshane?, County Antrim ] - Blackwood Pedigrees, Volume 4, p 54, said Robert died aged 72 years in 1791 and also said that Grace died in 1785, aged 72 years. Is John age at death a clerical error? It also said that Grace Harley was a "second cousin" to Robert but does not say how this is linked. This would suggest that they were both descendants of John Boyd (P1?) and Jane Logan, but it is unclear if it is the Boyd or Logan side. A Kinbally townland is situated about 1 km NW of Broughshane and adjacent to Ballygarvey in a SW direction. Again Mike Boyd is not sure if this is the only townland of this name in County Antrim. The gap between the first and second children would suggest other children might have been born to this couple. I have four known children for this Couple and Robert is part of the Boyds of Ballygarvey - the next townland to the west. Under residence, this seems to be vacant. Does that mean that he actually lived on Kinbally? And the comment in the Observation column. I am sorry I can't read it. Can see say what it is please. 3. Deb You did not say what period your Marth Logan was. But I assume late 1700's or early 1800's. Do you know if Marth's Logan's go back to the 1600's in this area, as I have:- P1? John Boyd, b / /162x ( , Scotland), d / /16xx ( , Ireland), bu , m / /164x (church, town, County, etc), Janet Logan, dau of and (nee ) Logan, b / /162x ( ), d / /16xx ( , Ireland?), bu , and had issue:- [Lived: of Ballygarvey, County Antrim, Ireland ] - Blackwood Pedigrees, Volume 4, p 55 said that he "came from Scotland and settled at Ballygarvey, County Antrim." On the Larne Discoverer Series Sheet 9 1:50,000 map it has an Ballygarvey between Ballymena and Broughshane - about 1 1/2 kms west of the Post Office at Broughshane. [Mike Boyd is not sure if this is the only townland of that name in County Antrim.] It would fit as a possible ancestor of the various BOYD families form Ballymena - Blackwood Pedigrees, only lists one son in this family. Would a search of the Church records in Broughshane or Ballymena help find other children? Or could the Ballymena Library suggest possible sources to find other member so of this family? Nor does it say when the family settled in County Antrim in the 1600's. This family chart does not say what occupation they where or what religion. However by the use do the terms of Ballygarvery, of Recavan, of Kinbally and of Tullymore would suggest that they were farmers. These expressions may even suggest that they owned the land or were the Principal Leasee. [This will need to be followed up - where?] Thank you Mike Boyd Brisbane ----- Original Message ----- From: <OLeoghain@aol.com> To: <irl-antrim@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, February 15, 2007 12:48 AM Subject: [IRL-ANTRIM] Johnstons > Cliff, I just returned from County Antrim - Broughshane and its environs > to > be specific, and there are Johnstons galore in the 1st Broughshane > Presbyterian Church yard. May I impose on your time and ask if there are any Pauls burried in the Ahoghill Cemetery.Am particularly interested in Samuel James Paul and wife who died about mid 1800's, William Paul who would have died around 1800, as well as Robert Paul who died in 1882. Thanks much. 1. [IRL-ANTRIM] 1901/1911 census
    2. Yvonne Lascelles
    3. Hello all I have been in contact with the team from http://www.belfastfamilyhistory.com/m re the census returns for Belfast, this was with a hope that this great free service would be extended to other areas of Belfast, this is the kind reply, maybe if you can find the time Email them and say hello and thanks,it may be the support and encouragement they deserve and need. Yvonne Dear Yvonne Thank you very much indeed for getting in touch. We are always glad to hear from people using our website. So, far we have inputted just over 30,000 individuals from the Falls and the Shankill and only a small parts of other wards in our database for the census year of 1911. We also have a smaller number of individual entries from 1901 as well. Given the population of Belfast in 1911, there is a roughly one-in-three chance of finding a particular ancestor at this stage of the development of the project. However, we continue to expand and hope to extend our coverage still further With very good wishes, Eddine Khaoury BelFam
