    1. [IRL-ANTRIM] Ramsey/Ramsay question
    2. Susan Fowler
    3. Need advice - what are the odds???? I have baptismal records for daughters of Francis Ramsey which list them as living in Kilbride in Antrim County in 1820. (Family emigrated to USA in 1830) There are also records in the Freeholders from Fermanaugh for Francis Ramsey in 1796 - and also a Robert Ramsey in 1796 on the same page of the record. Francis Ramsey's first son was named Robert, so this Robert might be the father? In any case, did folks move about within the different counties of Northern Ireland during that time? Is this a possibility this could be my Ramseys, or just a coincidence? Thanks in advance for any help. You folks always come through. 3. Kim, Find a male Johnson in you family and have him do a Y-DNA test. That is probably your best bet to sort out a possible connection. Written records are often missing for our time period needed. You can find information on Y-DNA testing at: http://www.familytreedna.com/ This happens to be the company that most of ours are using.
