    1. [IRL-ANTRIM] LDS CDs
    2. Ulster3
    3. Does anyone know if any of Northern Ireland's records are available on CD through LDS? I seethat they have several (many) CDs to order...I am just confused as to what type of record is on each. Records that are not readily available online anywhere else? Eireann

    1. Re: [IRL-ANTRIM] New To list researching McMULLEN
    2. McMullen and its variants are very common in Co Antrim. Might the McInee name be spelt McKinney here? Nancy and Agnes are interchangeable. There are two McNee's in Griffith's Valuation c1860: "Mc Nee, Bridget County : Antrim Parish : Shankill Location : Smithfield Townparks Little Sackville Pl Mc Nee, Thomas County : Donegal Parish : Conwal Location : Letterkenny Regards Nevin

    3. For what it is worth I will offer my two cents! I knew that my ancestors came from Antrim and the approximate time frame, so I did a cluster search of all of ancestorial names of our family, there were five townlands which had Crooks living there in 1660 BUT only one had Dunwoodies, Moreheads, McClures and Beattys living within a two mile or less radius of a Crooks family, additional research has proved me to be right.haps this could also be done in this case. 3. Hi. You'll have to give some idea of the time period that you are interested in to get any meaningful help. For what it's worth, at the time of Griffith's Valuation, 1861- 62 in Antrim and 1863-64 in Down, there were 9 Ashwoods in Down and 1 in Antrim. The other surnames that you mention show up in both counties but not with the given names that you are looking for. Jack

    1. [IRL-ANTRIM] Brown and Murphy
    2. Lyn Brown
    3. I am looking for any info about a Henry Brown born1787 in Derry County Antrim. I know that he belonged to the Masonic Lodge # 440 on Oldtown, Merherfelt, Co. Londonderry. He married an Elizabeth Murphy in 1822. She was born 1779. They both came to Canada and settled in Nova Scotia, Henry cam first and Eliza came after. We also believe that he was given a allowance so possibly from a well-to-do family. Any help on finding their family in Ireland would be appreciated. Lyn from Manitoba

    3. Does anyone have any information or ideas about Mary Boyd, the only Boyd listed in Racavan Parish in the Spinning Wheel Premium Entitlement List, 1796? Perhaps she was widowed or divorced or single? A female listing is fairly rare. Naturally, she does not appear among the 13 Boyds [none from Racavan Parish, but Robert from neighboring Skerry Parish] listed pre 1800 for County Antrim within the [all-male] Freeholders Lists. 3. Hi MJ I have had a look in Emerald Ancestors and using surname only Conaghty 3 in Antrim Conaughty 1 Antrim Connaughty 1 Antrim Connaghty 10 Antrim So looks like Antrim is the place to look Alexander birth is just a little to early to catch the civil registrations Patricia New Zealand -----Original Message----- From: irl-antrim-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:irl-antrim-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of MJ Bradley Sent: Saturday, March 17, 2007 2:25 PM To: irl-antrim@rootsweb.com Subject: [IRL-ANTRIM] Connaghty Wendy, My Conaghty is supposedly from Porte Down, Co. Down.. His name Alexander Conaghty (that is how it is spelled on his papers from Scotland). He was born Dec. 22 1863. The family story is that he left Ireland at age 14 and went to Scotland to work. At age 16 he immigrated to the USA and settled in Illinois eventually he ended up in Chicago and married Agnes Wasson who was from Ballymena, Co. Antrim. We know his mother (or step mother) was living in White Abby in the early 1900's and died around 1918. Her name at her time of death was Margaret Marks.. This information is quite new to us so we know very little about the Conaghty's except to say it is not a common name. If you have any information that may shed some light on our Conaghty's I would be extremely grateful. I have letters from 1906 thru 1928 that Agnes Wasson's sisters, mother-in-law and others wrote to her. I am in the process of transcribing them into Word so I can make a spread sheet of the information. Have a nice weekend! MJ Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it, you will land among the stars. Les Brown MJ I have Elizabeth Connaghty married Robert Stevenson, about 1821 in Co Antrim, Ballymena area. Any Connection?
