Have a look at my Admin district map - link below. Randalstown (the town) is in the main part of Drummaul Civil Parish (there are two small separated parts of the civil parish to the west on the Lough shore) and all of the townlands in Drummaul are listed although none are mapped. Note that Randalstown is also an RC Parish which covers the same land as the main part of Drummaul. According to Brian Mitchell's New Genealogical Atlas of Ireland (2nd. edition, 2002), Randalstown appears to be a civil parish, a Roman Catholic parish, and a Presbyterian Congregation within County Antrim with no other subdivisions or subordinate administrative divisions noted. I don't know about individual churches. What family name(s) are you researching in Randalstown? My interest is Rainey. H. Dear List, my great great-grandfather John MCADOREY is listed in the Drummaul RC Parish records as living in Tullnatrush and Tullynatrush. It could be in Drummaul civil parish or Antrim civil parish. Also a Mop Hill or Moss Hill. Any help with identifying the location would be appreciated. Best wishes Mark Lusby www.lusbyfamilyhistory.com
Hi Mark Tullynatrush (Tulnatrush) is a small hill in the townland of Drumsough, which is east of Randalstown in Parish Drummaul. Drumsough borders with Antrim Parish. It is a while since I have posted here. I would like to remind those interested in finding the location of all Civil Parishes and many Townlands in all counties in Northern Ireland and in Limerick that you can use my website: Administrative Divisions of Ireland which is located at http://ireland.kiwicelts.com/irishMap/ireMap.html. The site shows the Parish and Townland outlines overlaid onto Google Maps and so you can see where they are either on a road map or on the satellite image of the area. In many locations Google have high resolution imagery and so you can clearly see the roads, houses and fields, which often align with the maps, showing that the fields are still the same as they were in the early 19th century. For those interested in New Zealand Genealogy you may also be interested in my map and database of New Zealand Cemeteries http://fhr.kiwicelts.com/Cemeteries/NZ_Cemetery_Map.html which now includes all CWGC cemeteries around the world in which New Zealand servicemen are buried. -- Kind Regards Murray Christchurch New Zealand Visit us at KiwiCelts.com <http://kiwicelts.com> for ... * The only comprehensive list and map of New Zealand Cemeteries <http://fhr.kiwicelts.com/Cemeteries/NZ_Cemetery_Map.html> (now including many CWGC cemeteries around the world with NZ service burials) * Interactive Administrative District map of Ireland <http://ireland.kiwicelts.com/irishMap/ireMap.html> * Our Family History <http://family.kiwicelts.com>

William married Ellen Telford around 1819 in Cullybackey (near Ballymena) Although Emerald Ancestors have Ellen married to a John McIlroy. Family of William and Ellen were:- John, Thomas, Eliza, Samuel, Mary. Joseph, Margaret Ellen and Robert. Robert is my line and he Married Ellen Matthews and had the following:- Thomas, Robert, Ellen, Samuel, William, Elizabeth and James. Deb, All I know about my McIlroy is the name! Robert Stevenson (m. Elizabeth Connaghty), born 1798 was the son of John Stevenson and Mary Rankin. John apparently kept a haberdashery shop in Ballymena, and it was still there at least until 1970's. All of Robert and Elizabeth's children came to Canada in early to mid 1800's. Hugh, born 1848, had a son whom he called Thomas McIlroy Stevenson. No neighbours or family with that name, but I assume it was a connection he or his parents had back in Ahoghill/Gracehill/Ballymena. I have Thomas McIlroy Stevenson, son of Hugh Stevenson who was born in Ahoghill area, baptised in Gracehill and son of Robert and Elizabeth Stevenson. I wondered where the McIlroy came from as there are no others in the family. Neighbours were Sloan, Clark, Russell, maybe Gamble. Hi Robert, Many thanks for your replies. Margaret McIlroy was born abt 1825 to Alexander McIlroy and Martha Greenwood. Margaret had a brother called Alexander. On Margaret's marriage certificate it says the McIlroy's were from Mullansalagh, occupation farmer. Margaret and children immigrated to New Zealand in 1864 on the Ida Ziegler, brother Alexander also came to NZ but I don't know when, as it is the Craig line I am researching. Mavis. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Robert McIlroy Sent: Sunday, September 21, 2008 9:06 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [IRL-ANTRIM] Craig family Hi Mavis I am interested in your Margaret McIlroy.
