    1. Re: [IRL-ANTRIM] Irish emigrants to England
    2. I have exactly the same scenario, but my Usher family originated somewhere in County Galway with 2 children born in Ireland. The family moved 1st to Scotland, and 2 more sons were born in Scotland. They then moved down to Lancashire to work in the Rochdale Woolen Mills Ben MacDonald in Arizona ---- dianna charles <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi > Are there any records that can be searched for family leaving Ireland > around 1863/64 to England my Haney/Heaney family moved to Ireland in the > early 1860's there son Hugh was born in England in 1864/65 and the son > before him was born in Ireland 1863. 2. According to the American census records, Rose McKinley who married John McAllister, immigrated in 1858. Rose was born in 1844. Her parents were John McKinley and Mary A. Cloud. Mary McGugan and her husband came to US in 1873. 3. Barbara, I can see why you're confused. It looks very user unfriendly. None of the paths on the URL seem to match the site pages. I found it simply by Googling "Parish Map of Antrim". But I can't get there from the Irish Ancestors home page. One option is to overtype Antrim in the URL with the county you want, but there was nothing for Tipperary and Mayo produced an error. Try the Google option. Make sure you include the quotation marks so it searches for the whole phrase. I'd also try Genuki. It should have links there. If you get stuck, send another message with specific details of what you are after. If I can't answer it, I'm sure somebody else will. Peter in Sydney

    3. Olivia, How long are you there and how are you getting around? I picked up a hire car in Dublin and drove around Ireland for 10 days. But just watch hire care conditions. They didn't like taking cars from Dublin into Northern Ireland, so I didn't get there. If you have the time and are not restricted, I found New Grange a fascinating place. http://www.knowth.com/newgrange.htm I'm sure other will have their favourites. Plan well and have a good trip.
