I found my husband's grandfather (and great-grand parents) in the 1920 census on 125th Ave. I'm still trying to clarify the building number, but Enumeration District 1314 is "Manhattan borough Assembly District 19.; Tract 200 (pt) Bounded by: West 126th, 5th Ave., West 120th, Mount Morris Park W, West 124th, Lenox Ave." Near as I can tell from Googling, that's West Harlem. The building certainly had an interesting mix of ethnicities (including an Irish and Chinese couple), with at least five separate households under the same street address. Any interesting tidbits about the neighborhood would be welcome. Thanks!
