    2. Kathleen, Holy Cross is a Brooklyn Diocese cemetery. I don't believe any New York City cemeteries have a church attached. Chances are she lived somewhere in Brooklyn, (Flatbush) but Brooklyn was the "Borough of Churches". Her church could be anywhere in Brooklyn. As one who grew up in the Bronx, people were buried in St. Raymond Cemetery on Tremont Ave or Gate of Heaven in Westchester. Regarding high school, I'm not sure many women went to high school in that time period. My mother-in-law (b. 1907 and raised in Brooklyn) went as far as 9th grade and then went out to work.
