    3. I don't know. I was just so excited to find the list. I haven't had much time to explore it yet- but I have typed in the name of a few on search engines and some turn results and some don't. I am sorry I am not much help. Kathleen O'Donnell Grone >>>Can any or all of these newspapers be seen on the internet, or film at libraries? 3. New York newspapers on microfilm are available thru Inter-Library Loan. Go to the New York State Library page (sorry, I don't have the url for it). It lists all the info on how to order thru ILL and what info you need to give to your local library in order to order the film. I was able to get a January 29, 1874 edition of the Newtown Register (Queens Co, New York); this helped me narrow down when my 2nd-great-grandfather died. The article, while not stating the exact date, reads: The flag of the Laurel Hill Benevolent Society was displayed half-mast from Sunday to Thursday evening, in respect to the memory of Mr. John McGeough and Mr. James McCormack, members of the Society and residents of Laurel Hill, who died last week." The article was also a bonus as it gave me new info about him, of belonging to the LHBS.
