Bob, I have an Aunt-in-Law, Mary Mckenna (Minnie), born 1878, Castle Island, Ireland, died September 20, 1961, married 1907 to Robert Walsh, livwed at 70 Dykeman Street, Brooklyn in 11915, arrived USA from Queenstown, Ireland on the SS Campania. Her cousin, Julia, lived with this family in 1915. I have some additional information. I have two questions about a term on Ireland birth records. On my ancestor's birth record (Patrick Corcoran b. 1877) it lists his father's occupation (Patrick Corcoran) as a landholder. I was wondering if this means that he was a land owner or a tenant farmer? Also, is there a way to locate which land he owned or rented? This is in a small village called Curraheen/Curriheen within the town of Lismore, Co. Waterford, Ireland. Thanks very much for any information you may be able to provide.
