    3. When I got a copy of my grandparents marriage certificate it listed my grandmother's fathers name as John. I later found out it was Jeremiah. I assume that my grandfather applied for the license and didn't her the right name so he just said the first name he thought of. Records were probably one of his least concerns.     3. At times John and Jeremiah are interchangeable.
