Message forwarded from [email protected] Good Day to you all- I am new to the list. I am reseaching my father's family and I am hoping to find more information. It seems for awhile Michael and Mary lived on or near Elm Street which isn't to far from 'Hell's Kitchen' from what I understand. Mary had seven children with only two surviving. Some say five died before she came to NY- other's some died on the boat, some died here. But the census I found does confirm that five children died, regardless of where. Two lived. My line runs through their son James J. O'Donnell. I hope to find some connections-- Also, can anyone tell what what Inishkeel is like??Family stories say that Michael was run out of Ireland because he stole a horse (some say he ate it) and was going to be hung. I always wonder if there was any truth to the story. I also found some Dineens living near Inishkeel although family says she came from Limerick or her family did. Thank you and blessings to you all, Kathleen O'Donnell Grone, Black Hills of SD PS- if this line looks a bit confusing it is because the father (James) and son (Lester) married mother (Charlotte- Lottie) and daughter (Isabell) -- it happens I guess!
