Can anyone tell me where a couple living in Manhattan in about 1905 would go to get married if they didn't have their parents permission? I have not been able to find a marriage certificate for a Margaret Rolston / Rollston and Joseph Schaefer and think that maybe they married elsewhere. Any help would be appreciated.
