    1. [IRISH-NYC] Kelly, Brennan, and Lowney
    2. I am trying to track the descendants of some cousins of my grandfathers who immigrated to New York City around the turn of the last century from County Galway. Elizabeth Kelly, born about 1882, emigrated around 1896 and married John Brennan in 1905, while Bridget Kelly, born in 1878, emigrated in 1901 and married Thomas Brennan in 1906. Both couples lived in Manhattan. John was a barkeeper and Thomas a watchman in 1910. I suspect John and Thomas were brothers. Christopher Kelly, born in 1888, came to join Elizabeth when he immigrated in 1908, but by 1910 he was living with Bridget and Thomas and working as a saloonkeeper. In 1910 Bridget (now known as Delia) and Thomas had a baby daughter, Helen, and Elizabeth and John had 3 children, John Jr., Eugene, and James. By 1920 Elizabeth and John had 3 more children, Margaret, Vincent, and Raymond. Delia and Thomas had apparently died (I have the 1919 death certificate of Thomas, a widower, but have not found Delia's), and Helen was living with Daniel and Nellie Lowney in Brooklyn. Christopher was an unmarried grocery manager in Mt. Vernon. I would love to hear from anyone who might know of these families. Diane
