    3. Hello again, Would anyone happen to know where 358 Canterbries or maybe it is Cantervries Ave, Brooklyn, NY is? Once again I am going blind trying to find it on the map with no luck. This is the address that my grandfathers other brother said he was going to on his ship list in 1906. My mistake....this address is from 1906. The address of 2 Adelpha St. NY is from 1920 not 1906. Thank you for all and any help. Pauline Canada

    3. There's a Canterbury Ave in Staten Island...I can't find anything close in Brooklyn. Can you double check the spelling? Maybe try the Rootsweb "Brooklyn" page....street names in NYC do change. 3. Hi Pauline, Subject address still not clear - but feel it does not matter anyway. I rechecked the ship passenger list for James Leonard in 1906. He arrived on the Caledonia on 30 Apr 1906 in New York, aged 23, b. c1883, with his sister Mary, aged 18, b. c1888. They appear as numbers 23 and 24 on the page. Number 22 is a Mary Duffy, Final Destination: Brooklyn, Relatives Name & Address: Dau. Mrs. Ann Conlin, 358 Canterbries(?) Ave., Brooklyn. Numbers 23 & 24, the Leonards, Final Destination: New York, Relatives Name & Address: Brother John Leonard, 3319 Third Ave., New York. In the 1910, NY Census, John Leonard & wife Mary are living at 1241 Third Ave., New York (Manhattan). You will notice that the Duffy final destination and address are both Brooklyn where the Leonards are both New York - meaning Manhattan. Hope the above is useful. Best regards, Earle
