Here is the film note info on all St. Raphael microfilmed records: Baptism records v.I-III(to p.147) 1886-1916 FHL US/CAN Film 1289414 Items 2-4 Baptism records v.III(p.147 to end)-VI 1916- 1975 FHL US/CAN Film 1289415 Items 1-4 Marriage records v.I(to p.31) 1886-1890 FHL US/CAN Film 1289415 Item 5 Marriage records v.I(p.30 to end)-III 1890- 1974 FHL US/CAN Film 1289416 Items 1-4 Confirmation register 1888-1955 FHL US/CAN Film 1289416 Item 5 First communion register 1943-1975 FHL US/CAN Film 1289416 Item 6 I viewed roll --415 earlier this year, and it was clearly written and easy to peruse. I knew some dates to zero in on, but I also skimmed through looking for other unknown family entries and did locate some. I even found a baptism entry for the child of the sponsors for one of the family baptism entries that I came across--like I said, easy to read. The marriage records contain margin comments noting marriages of individuals who were also baptized in the parish. Enjoy! Cyril and Methodius(1913 I think) (one parish where previously they were three) were microfilmed and copies are available through the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. You go to the local family history center and borrow a film from the FHL for $5.50 and you can view the records and make copies. I have used burial records and obituaries to confirm that my grandfather's uncle, Patrick J. Collins, owned the Lincoln Garage & Sales Co., Inc., which was located at 205 East 38th Street. I'd like to see if anyone knows of sources for details on a defunct business, any source of insight into the garage and auto sales professions in NYC, or ways of finding ads for old businesses like this one [Patrick came to the US from Ireland in 1892: where would a fairly recent immigrant have advertised his business?]. The 1915, -16, -17, and -25 NYC directories on Ancestry.com list Patrick as the president, and most list his wife Julia as the VP and their daughter Anna as the secretary [in 1915 there is a partner, JJ Rogers, but his name is never mentioned after that]. In the 1931 directory, the family's residence is still listed, but not the business. Also, if anyone has knowledge of or access to earlier NYC directories, I'd like to see when the business is first listed and when Patrick Collins' name begins to be associated with it. Thanks to all, Cathy
