Would someone who has access to Ancestry.com check for an Augustus BURNS. I have him as a member of the James BURNS/Sara BURNS household in the 1880 Census in NYC about 20 years old. Looking for him either earlier in 1870 as a member of that household or later, possibly married and the HOH. When I ran the name Augustus BURNS in Ancestry it said there were 22 of them in the Census records. In 1920 he would have been about 60 years old. Thank you dayne
Hi dayne, In the 1920 Census for the State of New York, there are 3 Augustus Burns listed. The first is 58 and living in Albany with a sister Mary who is 70. He is a white male , born in New York, working as a chef in a hospital. They live on Hudson Ave. The second is a black male,40, born in the British West Indies, living in Manhattan.
