Ray, You may want to add Methodist to that list. But, he may not have been in Brooklyn very long - or he arrived after 1880. The reason I say that is that I did a look-see in the 1880 US census CD, and the only persons with that name were b. in NY or Germany. You might want to look for him in the 1900 census - if he was still living then. The goal would be to pin down the neighborhood. Another idea would be to look for him in one of the city directories. Thanks Pat, Maybe he came after 1880. I have no real idea when. His sister (my g grandmother) came over in 1870s. I know he visited my dad's folks in Binghamton once, and my dad remembered him. Since my dad was born in 1909, guess this George Keyes had been around for a while. I'll put out an inquiry for 1900, 1910 and 1920 census. - Ray ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pat Wood" <twigs3@juno.com> To: <IRISH-NEW-YORK-CITY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2002 6:34 PM Subject: Re: [IRISH-NYC] Brooklyn Protestant Irish Church? > Ray, > You may want to add Methodist to that list.
