Since the month of May, the National Archives of Canada has endeavoured to resolve the various issues, technical and otherwise, that researchers have faced using the Census of Canada, 1901 Web site. On August 1, 2002, the National Archives implemented a new version of the MrSID viewer technology. Most problems encountered with the first plug-in (including problems faced by Mac or Netscape users or those who had downloaded another version of the MrSID viewer plug-in) should be resolved by the automatic installation of the new version.
