I have seen several emails on this list about Declarations of Intent and other Naturalization papers. Some emails have stated that NYC courts in the 1800's did not ask alot of questions of the emmigrant. I have a ancestor that likely was naturalized in the mid 1850's in a NYC court. I am not sure if it will be worth the search not to find much on the papers. What seems to be the general opinion on this? Is it worth the search for naturalization papers in NYC courts in mid 1800's? Don McGovern __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
