Mrs. ELLIOTT, of 347 Second Avenue, was dreadfully burned last week, by the explosion of a camphene lamp. A child named Mary Ann FLYNN, aged 6 years, whose parents reside at No. 274 First Avenue, was killed last week by falling from a third story window. Florence SULLIVAN, a child five years of age, was killed last week in 49th Street and Second Avenue, by a fragment of rock thrown by a blast, falling upon her. A man named Patrick FARREL had his collar bone fractured on Thursday, by a fall from a new building on the corner of Fourth Street and the Bowery. A man named Edward DUNN was run over by a freight train on the Long Island Railroad on the 26th ult., and died in the Brooklyn hospital from the injuries received. The Nassau Water Company are actively engaged in laying pipes for the introduction of water to the principal streets of Brooklyn. Joralemon Street and Montague Place have already been completed, and the work is progressing rapidly in other sections.
