I recently purchased a book on NYC that had a photo of the South Street Port area and the Brooklyn Bridge under construction, year 1876. The photo covers all of the 4th Ward and more. It was great find for myself in that I found the home my Irish ancestors, 125 Roosevelt St, on the photo. Talk about a wish come true! I have scanned the photo and will be happy to share with anyone.
