looking for Augustus CHAPELLE who lived in Brooklyn after his service in the civil war, about 1865, and worked in "marble." Would that mean that he was a stone carver or cutter and possibly created headstones.? Is there any way a monument would have been identified with it's maker? such as a hallmark? His death certificate says he was buried at Calvary....they say "No." Now, What?
